Tempura Hisago in Chiyoda

Not the best I ever had. The tempura is not as crispy as I would wanted. The sauce and the rice on the other hand is acceptable. Also the air inside the restaurant is a bit suffocating because of the fryer. Would not recommend.

This may not be brilliant tempura, but it is really very very good.The key is to sit at the counter - the chef is very friendy, and the process is fun!Note, it doesn't matter which version of the set menu you order, you'll end up with too much...

This shop is my main reason to stop in Akihabara station. In my opinion they make one of the best tempura in Tokyo. Everything is fresh and made on the spot. It might take a bit to get served but this is a reminder that they are preparing everything after you order. Portions are generous and price is a bit above the standard, however as the taste is great it is well worth the additional few hundred yens.

The tempura was pretty good. However, we ordered an extra fried oyster (we thought it was one order, and one small oyster came out) and it was 780YEN, way too expensive even for Ginza standard!

Delicious tempura and friendly and helpful staff! We had the set menu for two and it's great value for how much food you get. They have an English menu and the staff speak enough English to communicate with you easily.

Beautiful tempura! I had the Big Shrimp Tempura which was very very filling and very nice. Friendly and helpful staff with menus in Japanese and English with pictures. Would definitely recommend!

Went here because of the positive ratings on google. Picked the hisago tempura set. The decor tried to mimic a traditional setting. The tempura chef was standing in a open kitchen, so I recommend you to choose the seats in front of the chef. The tempura was average as it was not crispy and soggy. I would try tendon tenya the next time.

One of few places in the same building that let you in when you are on your own. (I've had like 5 places telling me that the restaurant is "full" when there are plenty of opening seat.) Their dinner set was good.

This restaurant is situated in the UDX building which is filled with various restaurants. This joint specializes in tempura. We ordered the seasonal tempura and their mix tempura which is pretty similar except for the additional pieces of seafood for the seasonal menu. The batter was light but the overall dishes were pretty bland and lacking any extra oomph.Food - 6Service - 10Vibe - 8Price - $$$$

Good service. Delicious tempura with high quality rice. Not the cheapest meal since tempura are rarely cheap. Located on 3F of building just behind BIC Camera. Looks like a popular dinner place. Plenty of restaurants in this building.
